The LDC type electric single girder overhead crane is a beam-type crane with a low-clearance structure. Compared to the LD type electric single girder overhead crane, it offers better utilization of height space. It is primarily used in situations where the vertical clearance in the workshop is limited, but customers still require the maximum possible lifting height for the crane equipment.

The main girder of the LDC low-clearance single-girder overhead crane is often constructed in a box-type structure. The wheels of the electric hoist trolley can reciprocate along the lower flange plate of the main girder. In contrast, the hoist trolley of the LD type electric single-girder overhead crane travels on the flange of the I-beam located beneath the main girder.
