In industrial projects, selecting the right lifting equipment is crucial for production efficiency and product quality. This is especially true in scenarios requiring precision manufacturing and high-accuracy processing, where the applicability and stability of the equipment are critical. Today, we’ll showcase a real project from Workshop No. 3 of a precision mold manufacturing plant to demonstrate the performance of LDトップランニングシングルガーダー天井クレーン そして LDP offset single girder overhead crane under different needs. Whether it’s improving production efficiency or meeting strict requirements for workpiece accuracy, we are committed to finding the optimal solution for our clients.
The client is a precision mold manufacturing plant. Their newly constructed Workshop No. 3 is mainly responsible for high-end CNC machining production tasks. The workshop is divided into the southern and northern zones, with a QD10t-S10.5m double girder overhead crane already installed in the southern zone for large mold assembly work. However, considering the anticipated growth in workload, the client was concerned that the existing crane might not meet simultaneous operational needs in both zones during peak seasons.
Initially, the client wanted to adjust the operational mode of the existing equipment to save investment costs. However, after on-site research, we found that this would negatively impact production efficiency. Together with the client’s production team, we studied every operational process in detail and conducted simulation analyses tailored to the differing lifting needs of the southern and northern zones. Through this in-depth exploration, we identified shortcomings in the existing plan and eventually recommended adding new lifting equipment in the northern zone to ensure stable production during peak periods. Our goal was not just to provide a suitable crane but to offer an optimized production process and overall efficiency improvement solution.
During the initial discussion, the client was interested in the LD single girder overhead crane. This crane is known for its high cost-effectiveness and simple structure, with its conventional lifting height meeting most industrial scenarios. Together with the client, we explored the design features of the LD single girder overhead crane and its potential application in the northern zone. Given the budget-conscious approach, choosing the LD single girder overhead crane seemed like an economical choice.
However, in further discussions, we learned that the client had high demands for the lifting height in the northern zone’s machining center. A second site assessment revealed that the actual lifting height requirement needed to be at least 4 meters to meet production needs. The LD single girder overhead crane could only achieve a lifting height of 3.46 meters. Consequently, we realized that the LD single girder overhead crane could not fully meet the height requirements.
Based on these considerations, we recommended the LDP 5t-S10.5m soffset single girder overhead crane. This model features a unique side-mounted design that maximizes lifting height (up to 4.08m) in workshops with limited clear height. To help the client better understand, we arranged for our engineering team to design preliminary drawings and explain the performance parameters, applicable scenarios, and advantages of the LDP offset single girder overhead crane.
The LDP offset single girder overhead crane’s frequency conversion control system especially impressed the client, offering stepless speed control, low noise, and stable and reliable operation. During clamping processes, it enables smooth lifting and precise positioning of workpieces. The technical staff’s professional explanations and patient demonstrations earned the client’s trust, ultimately leading to consensus on the equipment selection.
In this project, we provided a detailed comparison of the technical parameters and applicable scenarios of LD single girder and LDP offset single girder overhead crane, ensuring the client had a clear understanding of their advantages:
LD Single Girder Overhead Crane:
The LD single girder overhead crane, used with CD1-type electric hoists, is a workshop lifting device widely applied in machining, assembly, repair, warehouses, and other settings. It is an essential tool for modern industrial enterprises aiming to mechanize and automate production processes, reduce labor intensity, and improve productivity.
LDP Offset Single Girder Overhead Crane:
The LDP offset single girder overhead crane, with its angular trolley structure, offers better height space utilization compared to the LD single girder overhead crane. It is commonly used in factories where the track’s height is low but the net clear height between the track top and the building’s lowest point is relatively large. This structure effectively increases the hoist’s lifting height while optimizing workshop space.
LD Single Girder Overhead Crane:
The LD single-girder overhead crane uses a single main girder, making it suitable for general lifting needs. It features a simple overall structure and is easy to install. The traditional electric hoist trolley design ensures stable operation. The LD single-girder overhead crane mainly consists of the main girder, end beams, electric hoist, crane traveling mechanism, and electrical equipment.
LDP Offset Single Girder Overhead Crane:
The main girder of the LDP offset single girder overhead crane is offset to one side of the end beam, making this design more suitable for situations with limited building height, effectively utilizing the available space. The trolley design has been optimized for the side-mounted structure, allowing it to operate flexibly in confined spaces. The LDP electric offset single girder overhead crane mainly consists of the main girder, end beams, angled trolley, crane traveling mechanism, and electrical equipment.

Our equipment selection prioritizes the client’s production needs, providing detailed technical documents and cost-benefit analyses. Every meticulous comparison and transparent communication ensured the client felt our dedication to the project.
Post-implementation, we closely monitored equipment performance. After deploying the LDP offset single girder overhead crane, production efficiency in the northern zone significantly improved, especially in precision positioning tasks, where the frequency conversion control system excelled. The client mentioned several times, “The workshop is now well-organized, and the crane operates smoothly, particularly during precision machining, where the efficiency boost is evident.” Such heartfelt feedback is the best recognition of our efforts. We have also established a long-term cooperative relationship with the client, providing continuous support for maintenance and technical upgrades.
In precision manufacturing, selecting the right lifting equipment can significantly improve production efficiency and product quality. The LD single girder overhead crane is ideal for budget-conscious, standard lifting scenarios with lower height requirements. On the other hand, the LDP offset single girder overhead crane is the optimal choice for scenarios requiring greater lifting height and precise control. For every project, we carefully listen to clients’ needs and provide tailored solutions. Regardless of how unique your project is, we are ready to explore it with you, find the most suitable equipment, and help you achieve your production goals.
