Automated Steel Plate Handling Overhead Crane

Henan Kuangshan has custom-developed and manufactured an automated steel plate handling overhead crane for Sany Heavy Industry based on traditional electromagnetic overhead cranes with lifting beams. This crane is not only safer and more efficient but also enables automated and intelligent operation. Additionally, it features high positioning accuracy, fast operating speed, and maintenance-free advantages.

The thin steel plates are first straightened on the steel plate conveying and straightening platform and moved to the precise position. The steel plate handling overhead crane then automatically moves above the steel plate, uses vacuum suction cups to lift the plate, and subsequently secures the bottom of the plate with safety hooks to prevent it from falling in the event of a power outage or other emergencies. The crane accurately transports the steel plate to the target workstation, lowers it automatically, and releases the safety hooks. The steel plate then proceeds to the next processing stage.

When handling wide steel plates, the steel plate handling overhead crane can automatically adjust the width between the vacuum suction cups to ensure safer lifting of the plates. Additionally, users can choose between two configurations based on their production needs: an automatically adjustable vacuum suction cup lifting device or a manually adjustable vacuum suction cup lifting device.

When handling thick steel plates, the steel plate handling overhead crane uses electromagnets for transportation. Depending on the configuration, the lifting device automatically or manually raises the height of the vacuum suction cups to ensure they are not damaged during the electromagnetic handling process, thereby extending the lifespan of the lifting device. During the crane’s automated electromagnetic handling process, the safety hooks remain functional to ensure safe production.

The automated steel plate handling overhead cranes produced by Henan Kuangshan are now in mass production and have been put into use. This equipment is not only limited to the steel plate processing industry but is also suitable for the processing and production of other metal plates, construction panels, wood boards, glass, and other industries.
